BDS: Epilogue
A week later, Jalena, having Elsaria's Key of Alendrial in her possession, approached the Vorclánbehind Lunara, Shamira, and Nyhra in the bunkers of Order headquarters.
Kesól was next to Fane, who stood to the side of the ship with his arms crossed, a scowl on his face.
Jalena and Shamira exchanged a smile.
"I saw that!" Fane said as he rushed forward. "Now, because of Sir Malik's parting gift, there is no way the ship should explode on a hidden planet—dimension—wherever it is you are going to—unless that Avehkal has some other evil twist." He waved a finger between Shamira and Jalena, "So, it should still remain intact even with you two in charge of it. Nevertheless," he pointed his finger in the air, "try not to do anything stupid because I won't be there to fix it!" He grunted. "Anyway, that ol' wizard thought you both were something special and well…just make sure you don't disappoint me and return yourselves—my ship, I mean—home safely."
"Don't worry, Fane," Shamira said with a smile. "We will take care of her…and we'll miss you too."
Fane's scowl deepened. He gave them a short nod before he strode off in the opposite direction.
"Jalena."
Jalena turned to see her father walking toward the ship, followed by Gyan's family and Shamira's husband, Anon.
Dismissing any formality, Jalena ran to her father and threw her arms around him as Shamira met Anon's embrace.
"I expect you to handle this quickly and return home," Syam told her. "However, we will be on standby for assistance if any is needed."
Jalena nodded and turned to hug each of Gyan's family in turn.
"I know Gyan is helping you," Eamonn said in Jalena's ear as he wrapped his large arms around her. "So, with the pride of a warrior, use all of your power and his at full force when the time is right."
Jalena swallowed hard and nodded as she met Eamonn's fierce, teary stare. She then moved slowly up the ramp with Lunara, Nyhra, Shamira, and the other crew members. She looked back once more at her father and then Eamonn, who both held her gaze. She gave them a secure nod and joined her team as the ramp of the ship closed behind her.
The Order pilots took their respective positions in the control room as the light warriors got comfortable.
"Before your arrival on Galinia, you will need to practice energy suppression until it becomes second nature," Lunara told the warriors. "This will allow you to roam the planet freely in search of the warriors without threat, which will be your first task. However, you will still have to practice caution when using your light energy, as too much activation will attract unwanted issues. I will use the time in between your training to teach you about the surface walkers on Galinia."
"Why do you call them surface walkers? That title is unusual," Shamira stated. "You do not refer to the species as Galinians?"
Lunara smiled. "Those of us with ancient origins are just in the habit of calling the planet by her initial title and at the time, the surface species on the planet had yet to have a name, so they were referred to as surface walkers. Galinia has many names that other planets and their inhabitants use to reference her as she is well known across galaxies. Many now refer to her by the shorter version of her name—Gaia. However, she is also referred to as Terra or as the species on the surface, humans, call her…Earth."
